7/6/2005 Picture of Fletcher at Home on Oxygen

Hey everyone!
Here is a picture of Fletcher that we took tonight. He weighs 13lbs 4oz and is 23 1/2 inches long! We are doing well and getting used to all the medical equipment. At our last appointment with the pediatrician, Dr Albiek decided Fletcher needs to see and ENT, he had ear infections again so the doctor wants a specialist to look at him. Fletcher also has an appointment with the eye doctor next week, hopefully we can help him with his right eye. We started working with an Occupational Therapist who comes to our home once a week to work with Fletcher and teach us ways to help him. His neck is still weak and wobbly. He's now 6 months old and we are learning about the things he needs to be doing at this age.

As you can tell by the picture, Fletcher is still on oxygen with no signs of him coming off of it anytime soon. We are keeping him at home unless he has doctor appointments. We are still doing breathing treatments and we are weaning him off of the methadone. He seems to be handling all of this so well. He's a trooper, he definitely has a strong will, for which we are so thankful. With the weight he's gained he's become cuddly! He's always been so little and fragile!

The Lord has been so good to us, it's overwhelming and I sometimes wonder how much more of His goodness we can handle. The grace of God is amazing, because Craig and I have done NOTHING to deserve the love He is shedding on us, nothing! I wish I could sit here and tell you all the ways He's providing for us. Our church family has been such a blessing and helped us tremendously. Our families have really pitched in and taken up the slack with the girls. People we don't even know, all over this country are lifting us up daily! There are countless other stories I could tell you, but there isn't enough time.

Thank you again and again for praying for us. Please continue to pray one, for Fletcher to come off the oxygen soon. Two, that as he continues to gain weight that he would become strong, especially in his neck and legs. Three, for his doctor and the specialists he'll be seeing, and for our girls and our relationships with each other that we would continue to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might! Jesus loves you and so do we! We are praying and believing this scripture for all of you, Luke 6:38 "Give it and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return."

Be blessed,
Craig and Denise
