9/20/2006 September Update

Hey everyone,

Sorry it's taken so long to get you all an update on the boy. First of all, Fletcher is doing well, he is still having some problems with bowel movements and we are waiting to hear from the doctor about the surgery on his eye. UGH! Please continue to pray for him and us. Our church is having an old fashion tent revival this Sunday, we are planning on taking Fletcher to the revival. He hasn't been to church since last October, we're excited for Fletcher to see our church family. He continues to bring us so much joy each day! His new achievements include waving hello, kissing on the check and my favorite... taking and kissing the top of my hand! Absolutely priceless! The weather has been so nice that we have been going outside for some FRESH air! It is so freeing to be able to get Fletcher out of that bed and out of the building. The Center has two nice playgrounds and we put Fletcher in his wheel chair and out we go! Maddie plays on the equipment and Fletcher and I enjoy watching her! The other day Maddie and I were taking Fletcher for a walk inside the building and she wanted the lady at the front desk to meet Fletcher. So we wheeled him to the front of the building and I asked Maddie of she wanted to introduce Fletcher to the lady at the desk. Well, of course she did so in Maddie fashion she holds her arms out and says, "Welcome... to... my Bubba!" It was hilarious! She's so proud of him.

Secondly, we had a great trip to Houston! We enjoyed wonderful hospitality, food and relaxation. Craig's family is a lot of fun to hang out with so we just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves! Maddie and I went shopping with Craig's aunt and Craig and Kayleigh went out on his uncle's boat and Kayleigh was able to go innertubing at Lake Conroe! Craig and I went to the movies together, all by ourselves it was great fun! Fletcher had a great time with Craig's parents and my sister. Two of my precious friends took time away from their families to hang out with him, too! God is good! We came back refreshed and feeling able to continue on this journey! Thanks for praying for us and encouraging us to take care of each other!

I need to go for now as always thanks for your continued support. I have attached a couple of pictures of Fletcher and Maddie on the playground. It was a great day to be outside and enjoying my kids!

Much love,
Denise & Craig
