Amphibius rescues Magneto from drowning after falling from the airship leaving the Savage Land; Moira and Professor X run scans on Marvel Girl to determine what happened to her during the Z'Nox conflict; Beast and Professor X head to Illinois to investigate a new mutant, while Cyclops, Marvel Girl and Candy Southern attempt to track down Angel; Iceman's amnesia persists, and the man who rescued him is revealed to be Karl Lykos (aka Sauron); Havok, Lorna & Ka-Zar head to find Iceman; Cyclops, Marvel Girl and Candy track Angel to a rusty freighter, where they encounter strange mutants and make a shocking discovery; Beast and the Professor meet Ashley Martin, and are assaulted by a Sentinel.
