X-Men: True Friends

This story features the chronological earliest appearance of the Shadow King (behind the scenes; he appears fully in the next issue), decades before he appears as Amahl Farouk in X-Men #117.

Phoenix accidentally transports her and Kitty to 1936; Kitty and newfound friend Alasdhair Kinross (and his young cousin Lilabet) become aware of a Nazi plot to destabalize the British monarchy; Lilabet is captured; Phoenix attacks Kitty and Alasdhair.
