WINSTON HOWLETT has a B.A. in Mass Communication. A former news writer, he is now a free-lance media producer and director. After writing dozens of stories and articles for fanzines, he made his first professional sale in 1978. He and Jean met through science fiction fandom, and occasionally appear on panels together at conventions. An electronic musician, Winston is planning an album of "spirit music" based on the Savage Empire series.
