Kelly Hale lives in Portland, Oregon, USA with a teenaged son, Simon, and a cat named Lumpy.  She did not graduate from any university, buys Egg McMuffins en route to her job in a health food store, and lives in a seedy little apartment in the barrio.  Her previous novel 'Erasing Sherlock Holmes' won a large cash award in a contest, but has yet to see print.  She is older than all of you, but not very wise, thus her deceptively youthful appearance.
