Paul Magrs was born on Tyneside in 1969.  He lectures in English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia.  His latest novels are All the Rage (Allison and Busby, 2001) and Strange Boy (Simon and Schuster, 2002).

From "About the Authors" in Short Trips:

Paul Magrs was born in Jarrow in 1969.  His first living memory was of Linx the Sontaran's head deflating at the climax of The Time Warrior.  Chatto and Windus have published three of his novels, most recently Could it be Magic?, and his first collection of short fiction, Playing Out is in Vintage paperback.  He lectures in English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia.
