Why did I rent Sayonara Jupiter?  I can't remember.  I've been watching lots of Japanese movies lately and a Japanese live-action sci-fi film looked good.  Especially one that had a hint of 2010 to it.  I don't usually look too closely at the ratings when choosing a movie since I seem to like a lot of cheesy b-movie type shows.  This one was just bad though and I should have paid attention.  There was a plot, I think, somewhere between the flower-power hippies and the science techno babble.  I hate starting something and not finishing it and so I had to watch the last part of this movie standing up so I wouldn't fall asleep.  The only mildly interesting thing about this movie is how everyone speaks in their native language and yet everyone understands each other.
