When Angel saves an actress from being hit by a car, she seeks him out to show her thanks.  When she notices that he has no reflection, she confronts Angel about his being a vampire.  She begins to form a plan to keep herself young and save her acting career.  She uses a drug to cause Angel to lower his inhibitions and to become happy.  The effects of this are that Angel reverts to his soulless self and turn evil.
