Angel awakens from a night with Darla and still has his soul.  He realizes how deep in despair he's fallen and decided things must change.  He talks to the Host who tell him that his friends probably won't take him back because the more than likely won't survive the night.  Cordelia arrives at the house to get the money, only to find demons there and the family dead.  These demons are out for revenge on Wesley, Gun and Cordelia for killing their offspring.  Angel finds Wesley and they join with Gunn to rescue Cordelia.
