Spike has been fading more and more and Fred starts to look in earnest for a way to make him corporeal.  Meanwhile Spike, haunted by ghosts, can see everyone but they cannot see him.  He is confronted by the Reaper and he tries to warn the others.  Angel and the group discover that there is a "black soul" in the place and, with Spikes warning, narrow it down to a man Wolfram & Hart sacrificed many years ago.  This man has been living in a shadow realm and sending souls to hell, and now he's after Spike and whoever stands in his way.
