Mihoshi wonders into Washu's lab yelling for her. Ryoko is hooked up to her equipment, gagged.

They sit down to tea and talk about the gift that Washu gave him in episode eleven Zero Ryoko. It was the vase that Dr Clay was so proud of and, thanks to Mihoshi, it was destroyed. Mihoshi has her mother, an expert in antiques, appraise it for compensation and discovered that it was a fake.

Washu had fabricated it 20,000 years ago to make some easy money and Clay has never known the difference.

Mihoshi tells Washu that Galaxy Police want to "borrow" Ryoko for awhile so that they can get some answers on Lady Tokimi. It appears that Dr Clay's memory of her is gone. Washu informs Mihoshi that theirs is gone too and, oh well, she'll just have to tell them that.

The scene shifts to D3 and Lady Tokimi as they talk about the memory erasure of Dr Clay and the Zero part of Ryoko. D3 says that anyone who can undo the memory loss will be able to find where they are. Lady Tokimi says that nothing is to be done with Tenchi at this point.

We rejoin Washu as she video tapes Ryoko distress about being left in the examination room all bound up. Ah, the pleasures of motherhood.
