Ed faces Number 48 and discovers that he is fighting a living suit of armor, just like his brother.  The guard Number 66 arrives outside to fight Al and Al discovers that this once was the man who kidnapped Winrey and almost killed her and Ed - Barry the Chopper.  After defeating his opponents, Ed is faced with destroying them as they tell him that they are not really alive.  He cannot because then he would have to admit that his brother is not really alive either.  Meanwhile, Al is confronted with some things that make him question whether or not he ever was a real person at all.
