Starbuck makes it back with the refugees and Tyrol recognizes a Cylon in their midst.  When the Cylon meets with the President, he tells her that the Cylons admit two mistakes.  One: in attacking the colonies in the first place and two: pursuing the fleet.  He says that the Cylons have had a change of heart caused by Six and Eight from episode Downloaded.  Later, Rosalyn fixes the election with Col Tigh's help but loses when her plot is discovered.  With Baltar in control, the people set up permanent settlements on the planet New Caprica and things continue for at least a year.  Things are not going well and the fleet has all but been abandoned as more people move to the surface.  When the Cylons reappear, there is nothing to do but jump the fleet out and hope to rescue the survivors on the surface later.  Balter surrenders to the Cylons which includes his Six and Eight (Sharon).
