The group of friends go out of town to stay at an inn while it is closed.  They arrive at the train station but there isn't anyone there to meet them.  They take the bus and are eventually met by a little girl who says her sister must have lost the time playing.  They group go to their rooms when later the little girl says that something horrible has happened to her sister, she's drown and they group must help her on her way since the lake is cursed.
