Seiji is called out by a gang at school but he cannot fight without his demon right hand.  When the gang start to drag his classmate Takako away, Seiji shows up and runs them off.  Still thinking that Seiji is a thug, Takako takes off without saying thanks.  Later, the gang kidnap Seiji's friend and threaten to beat him unless he meets them.  Takako finds the note also and heads out to give Seiji a piece of her mind.  When she gets there, though, she sees the gang beat the daylights out of Seiji while he puts up no fight.  When he tells his friend that if he fought them, they would only keep coming back to his school, Takako realizes there is more to Seiji than she thought and starts to have feelings toward him.
