Kenji and his partner Paul respond to a Boomer outbreak.  Paul gets there first and is confronted by the Boomer.  When Kenji gets there, Paul is hurt and must be rushed to the hospital.  Paul is Kenji's third partner - two have died and now Paul is is critical condition.  Kenji goes to Paul favorite bar, Lost City, and orders his favorite drink in his honor.  While there, a blonde man is celebrating his birthday and gets on Kenji's nerves upon which Kenji socks him one.  The next day at work Kenji meets Hans Kleif, his new partner and also the man he had a fight with last night.
