One year has passed since "A Faint Voice."  Buzz and Michaelson go to a Boomer factory to find out more about the illegal use of Boomers for sex.  Michaelson goes undercover as a hooker while Buzz and Kimbell investigate a rash of "dead" Boomers that have been taken out by a Boomer Crusher.  Michaelson finds a Boomer named Eve and follows her to a hotel room where she's just killed a man.  Eve has been having dreams which have been causing her to act strangely.  Michaelson, Buzz and Kimbell give chase to Eve but she ends up following her dream girl over a large drop-off and dying.
