Jubei must defeat Taiko Daiyu at all costs to everyone's, especially her father's, concern.  She heads into the bamboo forest and resumes battle.  Just as Taiko Daiyu has Jiyuu defensless, Shiro is able to take control long enough for Jiyuu to attack and release the spirit within him.  As the spirit leave it taunts Jubei that this is not all over yet.  When Jubei returns Shiro to the groups, she's about to go after Taiko Daiyu when her father challenges her.  He doesn't want to lose his daughter and invites Taiko Daiyu into him in order to fight Jubei.  During the battle he is able to separate his and Jiyuu's souls from Jubei and Taiko Daiyu in order for Jubei to defeat him once and for all.  Everyone celebrates with a grand ice cream social at the desert shop.  Everyone shows up including the "people who were defeated by Jubei".  Mikage shows up also with her husband which causes Sai a little heartbreak.  Life goes on.
