On their journey the group meet a minstrel who offers a song to Pacifica but Shannon and Raquel are leery and won't let him near her.  Later, they discover that the minstrel is actually one can control bugs, and he has sent out poisonous bugs to kill the princess.  Leo is with her and is able to kill the bug but not before is grazes her cheek.  This is enough to knock her out and she will die soon without aid.  Raquel and Leo go to find Doyle to enlist his aid as a doctor.  They must retrieve plants from an anicient place but when they get there the minstrel is already there.  Doyle and Leo learn from him that Pacifica is the Scrapped Princess.  Raquel is able to force the minstrel into allowing them access to the plants and to call off his attack on the princess.  Later, Leo wanders about his role as a kinght in training and what chivalry and justice mean.
