Jinto and Lafiel are on the surface of Sufugnoff which has been taken over by the United Mankind.  Lafiel has to dye her hair black so she won't stand out so much.  She and Jinto head into the city for food and supplies when they are attacked by some rowdy kids.  They beat the boys back and take their car but this causes the authorities to be alerted to their presence.
