After being informed by Marlene that Second Earth considers all of the survivors on the planet already dead, Yuji disobeys orders and saves a little girl from a Blue.  This causes problems for the team and they have to hide out in the city near several refugees where the little girl lives.  Yuji finds out that there is not a lot of love between the refugees and the Second Earthers.  He eventually catches up to the little girl named Yung and promises her he will protect her.
