Finally on Second Earth, Yuji is rushed to the hospital to treat the wounds he received on the way there.  Marlene is brought before the counsil and grilled on her tactics and decisions on the ground.  She's ordered to re-education and told that Yuji - the sample - is of no concern to her any longer.  In the medical wing, she sees him unconscious with a plethora of doctors around him.  During re-education, she fails in her missions since she has now started to take other lives into consideration, due to Yuji's influence.  Her instructor doesn't like what she sees.  When she's able to get a chance to check on Yuji again, he has disappeared.
