One of Harumi's (Maria's) clients, Hirukawa, is a police officer that knows Keiichi, one of the officers on the Lil' Slugger case.  He's also an informant for the prostitution ring the Maria once worked for.  The big boss shows up and wants to know why he's been gouging the prostitution ring for too much money and demands 2 million yen in payment.  Hirukawa must resort to purse snatching and petty theft to get the money.  When he can't come up with enough, and the amount keeps getting higher and higher, he starts to loose it.  He's at his whits end when Lil' Slugger smacks him.  High on drugs, the cop gets back up and throws something at the kid and knocks him down.  He proceeds to kick and beat him before arresting him.
