As the Red Dwarf heads into faster than light travel, Lister begins seeing things that haven't happened yet.  When Rimmer sees Lister die a horrible death, Lister tries what he can to make sure it doesn't happen.  All this happens just before he was to go into stasis for the 3 million year journey back to Earth.
