It's Christmas time and Nenene gets an invitation to a book awards ceremony of which she's was the first recipient.  She gives her editor Lee a lighter for a present since he's sworn off smoking until her new book is written.  Later Michelle, Maggie and Anita celebrate their birthday.  They explain to Nenene how they all met up and started living and working together and why they celebrate their birthday on Christmas.
