The children find out that Helga is no longer at the orphanage but they find a picture of her and someone that Tarlant recognizes as being on the island with Wonda.  They decide to go to the island to investigate.  Helga and Chitto are in a row boat and heading into a storm and things look bleak.  Meanwhile Tohma decides he must help Helga and leaves with his parents permission.  The GED ship arrives and takes on Helga and Chitto while Tohma arrives at the island thinking that they may have gone back there.  He meets the white-haired children and they wind up working to gether to find Helga.  The ship that has Helga on board also has Kirchner's sister.  They are using her to bait Kirchner so that they can capture him and treat him.  Tohma and the Children find the row boat and discover that they were taken on board another boat.
