Diva's Chivalier Carl, who has been obsessed with Saya for a long time, is upset that he is not the one they ask to kill her.  Saya and Haji go to the where the opera is to be performed and they find Nathan and Diva there.  James appears in his Chiropteran form and fights Saya while Diva and Nathan look on.
