Martha Jones arrives to help with some mysterious deaths.  She is now a medical officer with UNIT thanks to a mysterious recommendation from someone - probably the Doctor.  They discover that there is a secret organization called the Pharm that is curing all sorts of incurable diseases but with horrible side effects.  Martha infiltrates the place and finds alien larvae are involved in the cure.  She captured and Torchwood moves in to shut the place down.  The doctor in charge obviously doesn't like this and pulls a gun on the team ending in Owen getting shot.
