Jin, Mugen and Fuu finally get some money gambling and go eat.  A man bumps into Fuu and she later finds that she has no money to pay for the food.  They split up, searching for the pickpocket.  Meanwhile, the pickpocket steals from the wrong man and gets a load of opium that he must unload.  Fuu learns that the man is stealing in order to pay for more expensive medicine for his ailing mother.  She has mixed feelings about confronting him for the money or not.  When she does catch up to him, the authorities do to and he takes her hostage into a building.  She helps him to escape amid the turmoil but that only lasts for a short while.
