Recovering from their night, Masane and Takayama lounge at her apartment.  Rihoko goes to get some groceries but faints at the market.  At the hospital, Masane senses a neo gene and heads out to confront her.  Before she goes Takayama asks her why she's doing this and she tells him it's for the money so that her daughter can be taken care of when she dies.  When she catches up to the neo gene she is easily overcome and taken prisoner back to the NSWF for study.
