Maria, learning the truth behind Furumizu's plans to create the perfect mother for himself, kills him and takes over the NSWF.  Masane gets Rihoko and Takayama, her true father, to go on a "date."  Masane gets caught sneaking around watching the two and they end up finishing the date together.  On the way back Takayama is attacked by the ultimate blade and Masane is forced to change into the Witchblade in front of Rihoko in order to defeat it.
