The woman on the playground introduces herself as Arcueid and tells Shiki about him killing her.  Shiki runs off and finally makes it to school.  At lunch time, Shiki asks Ciel if she dresses up in costumes which offends her.  He assumes that, by her reaction, it was not her that he saw the night before.  After Shiki walks Satsuki part way home, he arrives at his house to find Arcueid waiting on him.  He once again runs away from her but not before one of the maids at the house sees him.  Arcueid corners him in an alley where she tells him that she is what humans call a vampire.  They are attacked by wolves which she defeats.  They both run from the attacker and she explains that, since she died she is much weaker now.  They go to a hotel to escape their pursuer but he finds them nonetheless.  The man's name is Nero and he is also a vampire.  They escape the hotel and Nero amidst a massacre after which Arcueid asks for Shiki's help in fighting Nero.
