Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson work for the Bernadelli Insurance Company and are on a mission to find Vash the Stampede.  Their aim is to follow him around in order to determine if all of the damage that their company is paying for is in fact due to him.  They are given a description of him as a giant man in a red coat, earrings and a mohawk.  When they find who they think is Vash they also run into another man who appears completely inept.  This man winds up saving them from certain doom.
