Sousuke and Gauron face off and, when the outcome look bleak, Gauron activates Venom's self-destruct sequence in the hope that it will take out the sub.  Kaname is able to open the hanger doors and Sousuke maneuvers Venom onto the catapults which ejects him just before the self-destruct sequence is up.
