After Ally McBeal is groped by an co-worker (Jack Billings) at her law firm, she approaches one of the parters about it.  What happens is not what she expected, she is let go when the assocaite threatens to sue the firm.  She runs into a Harvard classmate, Richard Fish, on the street who offers her a job at his firm.  When she gets there, she finds out that her ex-boyfriend, Billy, also works there.
