Makoto is working on a new science project for school.  Nanami, who sells lunches at school that she's made, brings him one (she only charges him half price).  Meanwhile Jinai Katsuhiko is being grilled by the student council about his abuse of presidential powers.  After school Fujisawa, a teacher there, makes his rounds.  Makoto and Nanami have just taken a break from working on his invention when they meet up with Fujisawa.  Jinai, with Makoto away begins sabotaging his experiment.  When Makoto remembers that he left the experiment running to goes back to find Jinai ruining it.  During the sabotage, the experiment opens up a gateway and Makoto, Jinai, Nanami and Fujisawa are all dragged through it.
