Argo, Take Off! The Challenge of 296,000 Light-Years!
20-Oct-1974
Season 1 Episode 3
Episode 3 of 77
Colonel Ganz of the Gamelan forces on Pluto asks Leader Desslok to use the Ultra Menace Missile on the new Earth battleship and gets approval.

On Earth Captain Avatar addresses the crew that has been assembled and explains the mission and states that the mission in voluntary. He also tells them that the ship is to be renamed as the "Argo".

All of the people assembled for the crew show up for departure as the Ultra Menace Missile gets closer to Earth and its target, the Argo.

The Argo uses and energy grid provided by all of the surviving counties of the world to start the engines since there is not enough power to do so on board the Argo itself. Avatar takes Venture and Wildstar on a tour of the ship showing them the Wave Motion Gun room and Missile firing room as well as the Lab (with the Dynamic Do-All), the Hanger and the Wave Motion Engine.

Wildstar confronts Orion, the Chief Engineer, about what kind of person Captain Avatar was. Wildstar finds out that Avatar lost his son in the same battle that Alex was killed in.

After one false start, the Argo starts its engines and takes off destroying the missile as it goes. The Argo barely escapes the blast and heads off into outer space.
