Max was born and trained by the government to be a super-soldier. She and several of the other children escaped one night but she is not sure how many of them made it. Now she lives in Seattle in a post-EMP America in 2020, a third world country due to the destruction of financial records destroyed in the computers. She works as a bicycle delivery person and part-time thief.
