Max "meets" Logan when she is attempting to rob him.  She discovers that he is the mysterious person behind the "Eyes Only" television broadcasts.  She later agrees to work with him in exchange for his help in finding the other escapees from the Matecore Project and in evading Lydecker, the person in charge of hunting them down.
