As Ed and Al are travelling on a train to Central City to meet Roy Mustang, the train is held up by terrorists.  They learn that there is a general and his family on board and that is who the terrorists are using as hostages.  Ed and Al decide to help out with their alchemy skills.  They later learn that Roy Mustang helped to place them on that train and put them in the position to save the general.
