Strange things begin happening and Skuld and Urd determine that these are caused when Keiichi and Belldandy are within close proximity of each other.  In addition to this, Belldandy's father calls and she has to return home within three days.  Having to be apart, Keiichi seems to remember needing to give Belldandy a ring, and so he works multiple jobs in order to save enough money to give it to her before she has to return home.
