Bantaro was injured in the fight with Ugoro and Sanoyo Kanzaki and so Shiro takes him to his house where his mother treats him.  Shiro sees a shadows outside and goes to investigate.  Outside he sees his brother and they talk about the old rivalry between the Ryujoji clan and Jubei Yagyu.  Shiro says he wants no part in it but his brother Hajime wants him to join in the battle.  It is revealed that they two brothers were separated when very young because of these differences of opinions in their parents.  Later outside Jiyuu's house, a weird looking characer is calling her out to fight.  She defeats him as Jubei and then collapses.  Shiro tells her that she must continue to fight because there are those who want to use that power to take over the nation.
