Tsumura Tenryo (aka Mick) and Tsumura Mikage (aka Francoise) show up in town to challenge Jubei and Mikage says that she wants to get the eyepatch for herself so that she can use it's power.  Jubei and her father head into town so that he can mail his finished book when Jiyuu's friends show up.  Meanwhile, Mikage is at the Nanohana house with Koinosuke.  After getting tired of waiting she searches the house for the eyepatch but finds nothing.  She takes off with an unconscious Koinosuke and runs into Jiyuu's father coming back from town.  She knocks him out just after he sees her as says "Makoto?".  With Koinosuke and Sai hostage, the two challenge Jubei to a duel and tell her that they will let the two men go if she gives them the eyepatch.  Jiyuu give it to them but the eyepatch rejects Mikage.  Jiyuu, who think she looks like the picture of her mother helps her but ends up duelling them both in the end.  Shino, during the duel, sees a weekness in Jubei.
