After the ordeal with the other Jubei, Jiyu has a fever and her entorage helps her back to the house.  Mikage helps get her in bed without her father knowing she's sick.  Mikage heads out and runs into the blond Jubei hunting for the little boy.  She gets injured but she and the little boy escape white-Jubei.  Later, with all that's gone on, Jiyu decides to blow the whistle that Kionosuke gave her.  When the little boy appears, she discovers that he is Ayunosuke, the son of Kionosuke, who has vowed to take on Kionosuke's tasks if he should fail.  Jiyu is moved by his story but tells him to never let her see him again.
