Now separated, Shannon is visited by Natalie who has decided that she'll need to brainwash him into protecting the Scrapped Princess no matter what - even if it means sacrificing up to 40,000 people.  Raquel and Seness are met by Raquel's father, but Raquel immediately blows him away.  She explains to Seness that he is dead, that she personally cleaning his dead body and that is why she had no hesitation.  Pacifica is met by Zepheris who explains further about the ancient war.  Mankind was at war with aliens and the dragoons were creted to fight them but they were not efficient and almost all of them fell.  Later the psychics on the dragoons had to have most of their powers trimmed so that they can only access it when joined with a pilots - the D-Knights.  She then tells her about Natalie's designs on Shannon.  Zepheris shows doubts about what she should do and asks Pacifica.  Meanwhile, Raquel and Seness are able to get the engines back online.  Pacifica finds Shannon and the others but realizes that Shannon has already been brainwashed.  Zepheris tells her that she can help undo the damage, to Natalie's objections, but it must be before they leaved the shielded area or it will become permanent.  Pacifica agrees and enters Shannon's mind.
