Admiral Spoor, aware that she is outnumber considerably, attempts to delay the battle by asking the enemy to allow them time and then they will retreat.  The enemy agrees but will not give them the time asked.  At the deadline, the transport ships have not yet left and so Admiral Spoor's fleet heads toward battle.  Jinto, after being nearly choked to death by Angusson, regains consciousness in time to see the last ship preparing to launch in battle formation.  As the ship thrusts out of the water, a tidal wave strikes the shore where Angusson is yelling and shouting at the ship.  He's inundated and drowns.
