Motoko finds Kuze after he and his group down the plane that has been scrambling communications.  The Aegis cruisers begin a bombardment of the island, one of which traps Motoko and Kuze in a sink hole.  Aramaki and Proto learn where the PM is and Togusa rescues her in hopes that she can do something about the American submarine that is about to launch a nuclear weapon against Dejima.  Batou and his group, with one of the canisters of plutonium, do all that they can to stay away from the Section 4 commandos while making their way to the SDF at the bridge.
