Isamu is reassigned as a test pilot on Eden where he is to fly the new YF-19.  He discovers that an old acquaintence of his named Guld is flying the prototype YF-21.  Also arriving on Eden is Sharon Apple, a virtual singer who is all the rage and is about to put on a concert.
