Aki, Yumi and Chiharu are talking about Aki's possible new love when Makoto shows up wondering if any of them know what true love is.  His entrace is a ruse though to get closer to the girls and get more information for his girl database, his favorite pasttime.  Later, the guys are talking and Yoshihiko brings up what makes girls attractive to him.  This leads to Kyoichi asking if Chiharu is in Makoto's girl database.  He tells him no way would he put that amazon in there.  Kyoichi doesn't know whether to be relieved or insulted.  Kyoichi and Chiharu have been friends for a long time and she comes over to his house to borrow a CD.  He realizes that he's starting to like her as more than just a friend.  The next day after Kyoichi tells his friends about this, he sees Chiharu talking to a boy on the track team.  When she sees him, she runs off and ignores Kyoichi later.
